Singapore Food Trail at Singapore Flyer

Singapore Food Trail is an exciting concept dining attraction which aims to bring back the nostalgic feel and charm of Singapore in the 1960s. It is set with  the backdrop of the iconic Singapore Flyer. You can relieve the good old days while tucking into famous local fares and familiar food of the past, such as the ice balls, kachang puteh and many more. Some vendors include Hill Street Tai Wah Pork Noodles, Boon Tat Street Barbeque Seafood, Rong Chen Bak Kut Teh, and Alhambra Padang Satay.

Okay, I didn't write the above. I copied it from http://comesingapore.com/tourist-directory/review/852/singapore-food-trail. I tried the good old oyster omelette but it was definitely not great. It was too oily. The Sin Ming pork noodles were quite good. The noodles was springy and the soup broth was rather good. But again, it was not something that I would come back for again.

The place was nicely decorated in the theme of the 60s though. There was a little corner of knick knacks with some vintage or antique gramaphones, typewriters. good eye candy and for photo taking.

Is this a little toy car? I like it.

A wooden rocking horse. I like it.

A display of tiffin carriers and something else. I am not sure what that is.

I have no idea what this is but it looks new and nice.

A retro typewriter. Nice.

An older looking typewriter.

A well furnished corner that reminisces about the 60s.

Check out the 60s soft and coffee table. Would you place this in your house?

A New Beginning

I finally bought a new home for one or two! There is so much hard work and effort taken in to make sure that the new home is comfortable for living, not only aesthetically.

As the new home is a pretty small condo, 540sqf, space is a major concern for me. All measures must be taken to ensure sufficient storage space is available without compromising the living space. Clutter has always been part of me as I am lazy as a pig and I definitely buy way too much clothings and books.

I have decided to stick to neutral colours first, to be safe. Some pictures of a partially furnished living room and bedroom.

From the looks of the photos, I have definitely gone overboard in being too matchy-matchy. I would probaby try to add in some outburst of colours.

My living room.

My bedroom.
