You could pick either cheesy or caramel popcorn

I have never ever loved popcorn until I discovered Garrett's popcorn. I remember my first virgin popcorn eating pleasure at Sentosa when I visited Universal's Studio. There was a long queue and I was just really curious why is the popcorn priced so expensively and yet the queue was so long. I purchased a bag of mixed flavours as in cheesy corn and caramel. A small bag of sweet and savoury popcorn costed me 8 dollars.

It was so darn delicious. The cheesy corn popcorn was savoury, cheesy and nicely salted. The caramel popcorn was coated evenly with a caramel and was crunchy due to the sugary coating. It is indeed very sweet but yet, I could not stop myself from eating one after another. With my limited popcorn experience, I thought that the popcorn was larger than usual from those purchased at the local cinemas!

I did not have it for a while and finally I found it again at the basement level of Marine Parade. It is just located beside Cold Storage. After doing your round of groceries at Cold Storage, you could always just "pop" by at Garrett's to get some popcorn.

A little observation of a maid and a baby

I was having a leisurely breakfast of Mee Siam at Old Town today when I saw a a group of 4 tai-tai's having breakfast. A napping baby in a pram was just beside one of the ladies. Nearby, a maid who is at another table was having her breakfast of nasi lemak and watching the napping baby from time to time. Sooner or later, the maid has finished her breakfast and was waiting patiently whilst her master was busily and happily chatting with other tai-tai's.

The baby must have been sleeping too much and yawned and was awake. The baby did not cry. Good boy!

The maid then tried to play peek-a-boo with the baby who was still strapped to the pram. When the maid appeared, the baby boy would smile so sweetly and happily.  When the maid was out of sight, the baby boy would not be smiling and would be looking around for her. When he sees her again, he would break out into a smile.

I love seeing a smilling baby boy and kudos to the maid who was so attentive to her baby-in-charge.
