Two Fat Men at East Coast Road

It has been long time since I have stepped into a pub/bar/ restaurant type that serves beer as I am no longer interested in drinking beer and getting a beer belly.

Recently, or rather quite a while ago,  I broke that long spell and went to Two Fat Men to chill out several times. The place is great for hanging out and for me, the best part is, they serve both Thai food and burgers. The best part is the food is not bad for its very reasonable pricing for the quantity and quality!

For drinks, we had the Thai Iced tea. My favourite part of the meal as it is just nicely sweet without being too cloying and really refreshing.

Next up, is the basil fried rice which seems to have raving ratings here in the Internet. To me, it tasted just fine.

If you had tasted grilled pork neck in Thailand, I am sure you would not resist ordering this dish that is not widely available here in Singapore. I would not consider this as excellent but considering that this is pretty good. I would order this again and again whenever I drop by.

My initial reaction to the burger listing in the menu was somehow skeptical. However, I am really glad I was brave enough to order it to try out. I love my beef burger plain without any of the frills and just taste the moist beef patty with a soft bun. Really, this burger reminds me of the In and Out burger chain in the US with the  beef patty, lettuce, onion rings and tomato slices. Yums!

Lastly, this finger food had me licking the bowl clean. French fries with beef chili and beans. It was so good that I did not bother to take a picture of it. Double yums.

After putting up this post, it would seem that I am more enamoured with its American fare of burgers and chillis.  There are plenty of other Thai dishes available in the menu and it would be great to expore and try them out one by one in my next visits to this place.
